primary ingredient in Monsanto's herbicide Roundup. By volume, it is one of the most widely used herbicides. Some crops have been genetically engineered to be resistant to glysophate (i.e., 'Roundup Ready', also created by Monsanto Company) [9]. Heavy exposure to glyphosate has been linked to fatal kidney disease [1].
