OSC GMO Campaign Meeting Notes - 01/27/14 (Public Version)

Meeting date: Mon, January 27, 2014, 7-9 PM
Attendance: 8 people
- Report on Howard Vlieger GMO program at the Seed Exchange in Petaluma
- Teach-in:
- Someone will be interviewed on KOWS (107.3) with Ed Bauman at 7 pm on February 21st. They are also being interviewed by Elaine Holtz on a Monday morning.
Coordinating with Ed for other interviews.
- The list of posting locations was divvied up:
Cotati and Rohnert Park, Sebastopol, Santa Rosa:

- Someone will handle the press release
- Everyone please be at UUC at 6:30 pm in order to set up 50 chairs in concentric circles. Have extra chairs nearby if we exceed that number. We are prepared for a large crowd but typical size for a teach-in is 30-40.
- Someone will video record the teach-in
- Simulcast is canceled: KWTF is not prepared for this yet but will do a simulcast in the future. Someone is in contact with KWTF
- There was a brief discussion of a sound system which is for sale.
- Someone will check it out and report back.
- Global March Against Monsanto in May
- Someone will create a proposal for the February Monthly Meeting
proposal will include idea of having a Shindig that was discussed last summer GMO Town Hall Meeting, Potluck, and Square Dance
- Someone proposed organizing buses to go to SF to join the MAM there
- February 3rd Media & Publicity meeting at the Peace and Justice Center
- This is a work meeting to complete tasks previously agreed on
- Volunteers welcome or bring your unfinished projects for group help and support
- We will be working on the website
- We will be working on the mailing list
- We might work on the press list
- Bring your laptop and help us get our work done
